One of my favourite procrastination activities lately is reading the web comic Questionable Content. I started from the very first one and have been going through all of them, and it’s just as entertaining as any TV show.
And is it wrong to be sorta in love with Faye? And a bit with Dora too? Even though they are fictional comic book characters? Or is this a sign that maybe I should start thinking about “dating” real people again?
I put “dating” in quotes, because I don’t even know what the hell dating is. Some people are like, “oh, I decided to start dating again”, and then they go out on lots of dates. What? How? Where do they find these dates? Is going out with strangers and having an explicit intention to explore a romantic relationship really a good way to meet people?
SO MANY QUESTIONS.
Oh and I’m only on #396 in QC, so don’t friggin give anything away. If I found that that Faye is actually a dude or something, I might not be able to take it.

Dating is the worst thing ever invented…. I have the exact same questions as you.. and always find dating someone I just met so strange and awkward (but maybe I’m just awkward.. lol) and I can’t even begin to fathom dating multiple people – cause how do you ever got to know someone if you’re concentrating everyone else.. so frustrating this whole dating thing lol.

I know! Dating multiple people is pretty mind boggling to me too. If I have even the slightest interest in one person, I’d probably come across as an indifferent jerk to other people in the context of dating, which defeats the whole purpose. I’m gonna look into celibacy and/or arrange marriages.

Hmmm… I don’t know where you are in QC, so I won’t say anything. But there’s nothing wrong with being in love with fictional characters. I was definitely in love with androgynous anime characters of my youth, because my friends told me they were cool. There was many a night when my girlfriends and I drooled over these characters, reading comics, watching anime, pausing at the right moment to catch that flick of the hair… *ahem* sorry about that…I’m bored of dating now. It’s awkward. And there’s never any chemistry ever. Plus as an asian girl – I’m apparently automatically hot. Weird, considering my geeky back story.
