I just want to wish everybody reading this a happy new year, and I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Even the nasty person who left a mean comment in my last post. I hope that the next year is happy and healthy for all of you.
Here are my new year resolutions:
- Read more
- Smoke more cigars
- Gain some weight
- Lose some fat
- 640 X 480
- Finish my thesis
- Drink more water
- Drink more beer
- …I can’t really think of anything. Honestly, my life is pretty good and I don’t want to change much. Why fix what ain’t broken?

happy birthday phronk!.. what did you get for your birthday / christmas?.. you seem to be one of the unfortunate people that has the family combine your bday and xmas in one big celebration, and forcing you to wait another 365 days until the next gift-giving-palooza…what do you mean by 640×480?.. if you ever make it down to california way, i’ll help you with the more beer drinking resolution…

Thanks dude. Yeah, I’m an unfortunate victim of combination gifts. Or the “big gift for Christmas, tiny leftover gift for birthday” phenomenon. I still get lots of lovely gifts though…this year I got lots of DVDs, clothes (of course), and a pair of Polk Audio speakers. Yum.640X480 was an unfunny joke referring to the dual meanings of the word “resolution” (i.e. new years resolution, and the resolution of a computer monitor, commonly 640X480). I’m a geek, an anybody who doesn’t get it should be proud.
